Dress Code

For all of our students’ safety and educational experience, our dress code is strictly enforced. The dress code is extremely important, as it is essential so teachers can see proper body alignment and placement (this is especially important for all ballet classes).

  • Hair must be pulled back and out of face.

  • No jewelry of any kind. (stud earring are okay)

  • Please wear a cover-up to and from LPA

  • Please do not wear dance shoes outside LPA

  • Please label all shoes, ballet skirts, bags, etc.

Creative Movement
Black or Pink Leotard any style, pink/ tan tights, pink/ tan ballet shoes, hair pulled back out
of face.

Pre-Kinder, Kids Combo , Elementary I
Black or Pink Leotard any style, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes
need either elastic or tap ties to avoid having to stop class and tie shoes, hair pulled back
out of face.

Ballet
Black Leotard any style, pink/ tan tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair must be in a bun in middle of head (not to side). May wear ballet skirt if choose.

Jazz/Turns and Leaps
Black leotard, black tights or leggings (joggers for boys), slip-on black Jazz shoes ,
hair pulled back out of face.

Lyrical
Black leotard, black tights or leggings (joggers for boys), slip-on ballet, jazz shoes tan, barefoot or foot paw/undeez, hair pulled back out of face, knees covered.

Tap
Any style dance clothes, dark bottoms, black tap shoes, hair pulled back out of face.

Hip Hop
Any dance t-shirt or tank top, black or navy blue bottoms (no jeans), clean sneakers.

Boys
T-shirt, black pants or shorts (not too baggy), black ballet shoes, black jazz shoes,
black tap shoes.

Tumble
Leotard or shirt, must be tuck in. Black leggings or athletic shorts. Bare feet or paws

Acting
Anything you can move in.

Company Classes
Studio will let you know prior to first class experience designated color for company.
